Description

The Austin-Healey 100/4 BN1, introduced in 1953, is one of the most iconic British sports cars of the post-war era.
Developed by Donald Healey and produced in collaboration with Austin, the model combined elegant styling, strong performance, and excellent driving dynamics, quickly establishing itself as a favorite among sports car enthusiasts on both sides of the Atlantic.

The example offered here is an early-production BN1, built in August 1953 and originally dispatched to the United States, where it remained until the mid-1990s. Following its importation to Italy, the car underwent a comprehensive restoration carried out with careful attention to the distinctive features of the first-series models.

Since completion of the restoration, the Austin-Healey has been regularly enjoyed both in classic motoring events and for private use, while benefiting from continuous maintenance and care. More recently, the car has been fitted with a new gearbox to ensure reliable and enjoyable driving.

Accompanying the vehicle is an aluminium “M”-type bonnet, finished in the same colour as the car and ready for installation. An extensive file of invoices and receipts documents the restoration work and subsequent maintenance.

The car is also supplied with ASI and FIVA certification, further confirming its authenticity and eligibility for prestigious historic motoring events.
