Soragna has a superb strategic position, around 100 km from major Northern Cities such as Milano, Bologna. Genova and yet still closer to Modena, Mantova and Brescia, renowned for traditional car building. Soragna is set in one of the most historically, gastronomically and artistically appreciated areas of Italy. Only six km away from the birth place of Giuseppe Verdi, in nearby Chiaravalle one can visit the Abbey of 1135, the 13th Century Cathedral at Fidenza, the Sanctuary and famous rock at Fontanellato, the castles and churches of Castell'Arquato, Grazzano Visconti, Vigoleno, Bardi, Felino, Torrechiara and Canossa. For those who enjoy good food, it is worthwhile noting that Soragna is placed in the heart of the "Strada del Culatello", The Culatello Road, a road that travels through Zibello, Polesine Parmense, Busetto, Fontanellato, San Secondo, Sissa and Roccabianca. Here, one is describing a road of gastronomic delights, a project designed by the Emilia Romagna Agriculture and Tourism department to promote regional wines, food and home-made cooking. Close to GPS Classic there is a wide selection of hotels and restaurants to suit every taste and need. HOW TO GET TO US: Exiting at Fidenza off the A1 motorway, rear to the right and follow the signs for Soragna. After about seven km you will go over a small bridge, entering Soragna, where there is a traffic lights and a bar called K2 on the left.
